Seeking Pro Bono Process Server | Maricopa County, AZ
Gervonni Cares, Inc. is seeking a licensed process server to support our court -approved housing stability and eviction defense work by providing pro-bono services across Maricopa County.
Gervonni Cares is an Arizona Supreme Court–approved organization authorized to provide Certified Community Legal Advocate (CCLA) services. Through this service, we assist tenants facing wrongful and unlawful evictions, including cases involving improper lockouts, premature execution of writs, or landlord actions taken outside the authority of the court.
Under the Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (A.R.S. Title 33), landlords may only regain possession through a court-issued Writ of Restitution executed by a constable or sheriff. When landlords violate this process, our organization files time-sensitive motions to protect tenant rights, prevent displacement, and preserve lawful possession. These filings often require immediate service to comply with court rules.
Unfortunately, the families we serve frequently cannot afford private process-serving or constable fees, and these costs are often not waived by the court, even in cases of clear financial hardship. Without service, families are effectively denied access to justice—despite having valid legal claims.
We are currently seeking a Maricopa County–based process server willing to provide pro bono or reduced-fee assistance, with an urgent need for service as early as next week.
If you are a licensed process server, constable, or legal professional—or know someone who may be willing to assist—please contact us at info@gervonnicares.org. Your support can directly help families remain housed and ensure court orders and tenant protections are properly enforced.
Thank you for helping us uphold due process and housing stability in Maricopa County.
